Hello, my name is Maggie.
I enjoy drawing, crafting, writing and making miniature felted creations that are inspired by the world around me.
I am currently an Studio Art major and enjoy learning how to improve and create artwork pieces. Art has always been a big part of my life and who I am as a person. It is a creative outlet for me, and helps me to express myself and show the world who I am.
I love working with graphite to create pencil drawings, and also like needle-felting and creating miniatures. I am the author of the Children's book titled Moonlight Memoirs that is illustrated by Melody Lea Lamb.

I love drawing and using ink to create my artwork. I realize that recently I have not had that much time to draw, but need to focus on my art to become a better artist. I enjoy working with cross-hatching and pencil blending techniques to create rich color. I do need to improve in many areas as an artist, but I try my best every day and I will not give up. As long as my art can make someone in the world happy, or portray a message, my goal is successful. I want to continue to better myself in every way possible, not just as an artist but also as a person. Through this I will be able to grow as a being, human, artist, and soul.

Lately I have been trying to incorporate wire under structure skeletons into some of my creations to allow them to be fully pose-able. This is my second time using an under structure and I am pretty happy with the results.
I wanted to create a dragon-like creature, and somehow it became mixed with a zebra. Definitely a different type of dragon, but I am satisfied with it nonetheless. I love the colors blue and black juxtaposing one another and that is why I chose this color scheme, mixed with stripes and swirls. Balancing the weight of the tail was also more difficult than expected, but I managed. My favorite part was designing the creature
